NYC FOOD CART TOUR: Uncle Gussy’s

Come back every Wednesday for another funny, informative video documenting my inept food adventures. NYC Food Cart Tour is my exploration of the hard-working vendors feeding NYC’s population every day.

Today most New Yorkers think of street meat as being Halal, but if you lived in NYC in the 70’s and 80’s, or you happen to frequent the east side of Midtown, you know it’s all about the Greek. Uncle Gussy’s is a big blue truck that draws long lines in the same spot the current owner’s uncle did 40 years ago. And when you sample their meat platters, you understand why.
